Fantozzi achieves his first victory in this edition of Sertões

Even starting half an hour after the race leader, Tiago Fantozzi managed to perform a good race in the seventh special of Sertões International Rally, between the cities of São Félix do Tocantins and Balsas, in Maranhão. With special shortened to 220 kilometers, the rider finished the day in 2h19min58.
On Monday, the rider celebrated his passage through Jalapão in the marathon stage, and admitted he is also excited. “It is really good to arrive in Balsas after two long days. I am happy to have overcome the marathon, but a little disappointed with the decrease in today’s special. It was really like me, I enjoy long specials that demand more physical preparation. Tiago managed to make the best partial of the day, nearly four minutes ahead of second place in the race, the Brazilian Felipe Zanol, who started in first position this morning. Marc Coma, second to start, came in third today, with 2h23min19, really close to Zanol.
